Education:
Professor Spitzmiller earned her law degree cum laude from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law in 1985 and was a member of the Law Review. She primarily teaches in the area of Comparative Law. Her courses include International Business Contracts, Comparative Antitrust Law and English for Italian Lawyers. Professor Spitzmiller also serves as the academic coordinator of the Studying Law at Roma Tre program and courses and of the Dual-Degree and Semester Abroad programs at Roma Tre. Additionally, she serves as a consultant to approximately three Italian law firms on matters involving either United States or Comparative Law.
Professor Spitzmiller is the author of Consumer Protection, Standards and Antitrust Law in the EU and US: A Comparative Review (to be published 2016 in the journal, Il Sirente), Associate Editor for Competition Law and Intellectual Property: A European Perspective, Kluwer Law International (edited by Prof. Giandonato Caggiano et al., 2012. She also has presented numerous papers at international conferences on various Comparative Law Topics.
